Owner & Principal Designer
Emily Ruff is the founder and principal designer of Cohesively Curated Interiors, a Seattle-based interior design studio known for thoughtful, highly personal interiors and a distinctly hands-on approach.
Equal parts creative and decisive, Emily has an instinct for seeing what a home can become. She approaches each project as both a design exercise and a problem to solve—rethinking layouts, refining the details, and making confident decisions that move a project forward.
Before founding CCI, Emily led complex, first-of-their-kind projects for global brands, managing large teams, tight timelines, and countless moving parts. That experience continues to shape the way the studio works today: highly organized, responsive, solutions-oriented, and exacting in its execution.
Design, however, has always been the constant. Emily is endlessly curious and perpetually sourcing inspiration, from antique and estate sales to architecture, travel, materials, and the evolving rooms in her own home. The result is a point of view that feels layered and collected rather than overly prescribed.
Our Philosophy
Cohesively Curated Interiors has remained intentionally small so that Emily can stay closely involved in every project and every client relationship. The studio takes on a select number of projects, supported by a highly capable team and a carefully vetted network of contractors, craftspeople, fabricators, and vendors. We are particular about the people we recommend and the standard of work attached to our name. Our clients hire us not only for a beautiful home, but for clarity throughout the process, for a strong point of view, thoughtful guidance, decisive problem-solving, and someone they trust to manage the details. The result is a home that feels distinctive, personal, and deeply considered.
A Network We Trust
The people executing a design matter just as much as the design itself. Over the years, we’ve developed strong relationships with contractors, craftspeople, fabricators, workrooms, showrooms, and vendors—and we are exceptionally selective about the people we recommend to our clients.
Our referral list is intentionally much shorter than the list of people we’ve worked with.
We value partners who communicate well, care about the details, stand behind their work, and approach a project with the same level of professionalism we expect from ourselves. Those relationships allow us to assemble teams we trust and advocate for our clients throughout the process.

Emily lives in the Greater Seattle area with her husband, daughter, son, and two dogs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Economics from the University of Washington and a Certificate in Kitchen & Bath Design from Century College.
